What you get for free, what a paid plan adds, and how billing works.
Here is the plain version of what is free and what needs a paid plan, with no sales pitch.
On any plan you can build your mini-site, create links of every type, share them, and see your analytics. You can also view your audience as fans come in.
A paid plan is about reaching your fans directly and moving your list around. These need a paid plan:
Email campaigns. Send an email to your fans.
SMS campaigns. Send a text to your fans.
Sequences. Set up automatic messages, like a welcome sequence, that go out to new fans on their own.
Importing and exporting your audience. Upload a fan list, or download yours as a CSV.
Creating a campaign from your audience. Filter your fans, then message the group you picked.
If you are on the free tier and tap one of these, ForeverFan will point you to upgrade first.
New accounts start on a 14-day trial, so you get the paid features to try before your first charge. You set up billing when you sign up, but you are not charged until the trial ends.
If you are ready before the 14 days are up, you can end your trial early and start your plan right away. Look for End trial early in the sidebar. If you are on the free tier, the sidebar shows Upgrade to Pro instead.
Two places:
Settings. Your plan and its price live under the Subscription section. This is also where you go to change your artist details or request a custom domain.
The Stripe portal. From Settings you can open Stripe's billing portal, which is where you cancel, grab receipts, and update your payment method.
For the full walkthrough of managing or cancelling your plan, see:
Managing Your SubscriptionEmail and SMS sends use credits so you always know where you stand. Paid plans include a monthly pool of email credits that refills on the 1st, and SMS runs on its own credits plus a small monthly fee for your dedicated phone number. If you ever need more of either, email hello@foreverfanmusic.com and we will sort it out.
