SMS lets you text your fans straight from ForeverFan. You get your own dedicated phone number, and every text you send goes out from it. A phone in someone's pocket is about as direct as it gets, so this is the channel for the things that matter most: a release is out, tickets just dropped, you're playing their city this weekend.

SMS is part of a paid plan.

How it works

Texting runs on your own number, so before you can send anything you set that number up once. The SMS tab only shows up in your sidebar after your number is ready. If you do not see it yet, head to Getting Your Number to apply.

Once your number is live, the tab is there for good and you can write and send texts whenever you want.

How fans opt in

You never text a fan who did not ask to hear from you. Fans opt in by sharing their phone number through one of your links, a funnel, a presave, a poll, your mini-site, anywhere you collect fan details. When a fan hands over their number, they have agreed to hear from you by text, and they land in your audience ready to receive campaigns.

A fan can always leave. If someone texts STOP to your number, they are opted out right away and you can no longer send them texts. They stay in your audience, they just drop off your list of people you can text. This is the law, and ForeverFan handles it for you automatically.
