# What should I do if a show sells out?

## What to Do If a Show Sells Out

### Keep Fans Engaged and Make the Most of Demand

If a show sells out, don't just leave it at that. Use it as an opportunity to collect more fan interest and potentially upgrade to a bigger venue.

#### 1. Mark the Show as Sold Out

Make sure fans know the show is sold out:

1. Go to the **Tour Links** section in your dashboard.
2. Find the sold-out show.
3. Edit the **Location** field and add **(SOLD OUT)**.
4. Click **Save**.

#### 2. Switch the Show to RSVP Mode

Even if tickets are gone, some fans may still want to attend. You can capture that demand by switching the show to RSVP Mode:

1. Find the sold-out show in your Tour Link dashboard.
2. Click **Switch to RSVP Mode**.
3. Make sure the RSVP form is set to collect fan emails, names, phone numbers, and Instagram handles.
4. Click **Save**.

#### 3. Why This Matters

Keeping RSVP Mode on for a sold-out show helps you:

* Build a list of real fans who **actually wanted to buy tickets**.
* Gauge if there’s enough demand for a **venue upgrade or second show**.
* Keep fans engaged instead of losing them to resale sites.

#### 4. If You Upgrade the Venue or Add Another Show

If enough fans RSVP, you might be able to:

* Move to a bigger venue.
* Add a second date.

If you upgrade the show:

1. **Switch the show back to Sales Mode**.
2. Enter the new **ticket link**.
3. Click **Confirm & Notify Fans**.
4. An **email alert will go out to everyone who RSVP’d**, letting them know tickets are available again.

If you add a second date.

1. Add the date to your tour link.
2. Create a new email campaign targeting all RSVPs to the original date from the Campaigns tab.

### Bottom Line

Just because a show sells out doesn’t mean the momentum has to stop. By collecting overflow interest, you’re setting yourself up for bigger opportunities while keeping fans in the loop.
